I initially started practising bikram yoga for purely physical reasons, and funnily enough found that I absolutely hated it! It wasn’t until I found myself in a vinyasa class at a cosy little studio in Auckland, that I started practising regularly and enjoying it.
I was soon hooked, and I can’t imagine a life without yoga now. I completed my 200 hour teaching training with Power Living at the beginning of 2018, and I hope to be able to share and inspire people through my yoga classes in the same way that so many wonderful teachers have inspired me.
What is your favourite Asana posture? Why?
Half-moon (Ardha Chandrasana) because it ends up being different every single time, and it never fails to challenge me – and my balance!
How would you best friend describe you?
Kind, genuine, loyal.
What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
I always wanted to be either a doctor or a vet, and still often entertain the thought of doing further study and becoming one or the other. Unfortunately I am not good with blood or gross things, so not sure either would work out particularly well.
