Yoga found me ten years ago, my body was broken due to running marathons. It was also a time when I was confronted with many challenging issues that life kept throwing me.
I realised that the mat was a place of comfort and that asana practice calmed the mind and conditioned the body all at once. My passion grew and curiosity led me to a Power Living 200 Hour Teacher Training. I had found my dharma.
Although this training was very confronting and many deep core beliefs were released. It allowed me to become comfortable with who I am and to also experience a deeper understanding of myself. I have been gifted with knowledge that will allow me to become the best that I can be and to bring that knowledge and experience to others.
My aim is to encourage and assist my students to find peace, strength and flexibility through the discovery of yoga.
What is your favourite Asana posture? Why?
Ardha Chandrasana Chapasana – Half Moon Bow Pose. I love feeling the strength of this pose while stretching the psoas and hip and opening the heart.
What do you value most in others? Why?
Honesty, compassion and loyalty. I believe that these are the foundations for building a lasting and healthy relationship with others.
If you could share a meal and a conversation with anyone, dead or alive, who would that be?
My mum, if she could just step down heaven’s stairway to spend one meal with me… there is so much we need to catch up on.
