I have a caring and nurturing nature which has served me well in my nursing career.
I want to be the change that empowers others and situations to be the best it can be.
I am excited by challenges, learning and better health for my community and have found this perfect balance in the practice of yoga. I love the practice of flow vinyasa yoga and hope to share this passion in every class.
What is your favourite Asana posture? Why?
My favourite pose is half moon Ardha Candrāsana is my favourite pose I love the feeling of freedom and flying that it gives me.
What has been your most inspirational/toughest learning experience?
To date my greatest learning experience has been buying a horse with no previous knowledge of the animals for my young aspiring horse riding daughter. I have learned so many lessons including amazing patience, being adaptable to any situation or change in plans and the most amazing lesson of unconditional love. You would think these lessons would have been leaned from four children however my growth and reflection through this process has and continues to surprise me.
What does the term modern yogi mean to you?
Being able to share the amazing philosophy and history of yoga with my small community is such an honour. Yoga now days allows people to make practice fit their lives and their personal development in their practice.
