I really found yoga in 2012 when I moved to Australia. I lived around the corner from a beautiful studio in Melbourne. It took me a while, but once I finally made it into that studio I knew I had found something very special. I was working in the high pressure fashion industry at the time and I needed a release. Slowly, with each class, yoga allowed me to peel back the layers of me. It was and continues to be a transformational journey. In 2015, I did my 200 hour teacher training with the Power Living crew in Fitzroy. My classes are from the heart with a focus on allowing students the time and the space to reconnect.
What do you value most in others? Why?
Authenticity – I am a heart on sleeve kinda girl. Also kindness is key – we all need more love in our lives!
What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
I am learning the drums and think I would make a wicked 80’s drummer complete with headband and matching sweatbands!!
What has been your most inspirational/toughest learning experience?
In 2015 I moved back to the UK and opened a Melbourne-inspired coffee shop. Owning and running your own business is one of the most confronting experiences I can imagine. It’s damn hard work too. Everyday offers up a new learning opportunity.
