I came to yoga after an illness. Having done triathlons and lifted hard for years my body fought back and left me in bed for 4 months and unable to move my joints for 12ish. My IMT therapist suggested I try yoga – for my head as much as for my body. I had dabbled in it before but never found it “buzzy” enough. My first yoga class was at the Neutral Bay Studio about 13 or 14 years ago but I didn’t really get into it until 4 years ago. Since then I have done Level 1 Baptiste Training, and 200 Hours with Power Living as well as Yin and Vinyasa Sequencing with Power Living.

What is your favourite Asana posture? Why?

Tree – I find balancing so very difficult – I am very airy, working towards grounding.

How would you best friend describe you?

Upbeat, faintly delinquent, loving.

What do you value most in others? Why?

Non-judgement/non-gossip. Living an expatriate life has meant people know a lot about what goes on in each other’s life.
