My first taste of Yoga came in a Bikram Studio in 2004. I was instantly hooked! The energy, focus and community support it provided sparked something in me which I knew was going to be a beneficial asset to my life.
I have been practicing at Power Living Studios since 2013, and undertook their 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in February 2017.
Yoga has complimented my qualification as a Physiotherapist. Having a passion for knowledge, anatomy and philosophy, I feel equipped to motivate, educate and inspire my fellow yogis in their own practice – whether beginner or advanced.
What is your favourite Asana posture? Why?
Camel (Ustrasana) – I love the sensation this heart opener stirs in me. It energises and invigorates. It is so important to look after the only one spine we are given to ensure longevity and health.
What do you value most in others? Why?
Honesty and Energy! Being true to others is the best reflection of being true to oneself. Never underestimating your own qualities of passion, motivation and enthusiasm. Having a laugh along the way is essential!
What has been your most inspirational/toughest learning experience?
Yoga Teacher Training 2017. Coming together with a group of such loving people, all on their own individual pathway, but with the common passion for yoga. A truly transformational experience!
