I have always been active through many different sports and so felt curious to try yoga at my local gym in Sweden when I was 14 years old. I started practicing for athletic purposes, but the incredible mental health benefits made me stay. Yoga allowed me to let go, journey inwards, relieve anxiety and connect with my most authentic self. Yoga was, and still is, my safe space to heal and grow.
I discovered Power Living when I moved to Australia in 2015, and fell in love with their teaching style. In 2018 I completed my 200HR Teacher Training with them and am currently continuing my education on their 500HR Pathway.
I teach vinyasa yoga and meditation. You can expect a playful flow that will challenge your body and focus your mind. My classes are always designed for longevity with applied anatomical cues to build strong and safe foundations. And to encourage you on your own journey inwards, I love to share traditional yogic philosophy in an easy and applicable way.
What is your favourite Asana posture? Why?
Supta Baddha Konasana with a bolster. I could lie in this pose forever! I love the heart opening sensations and the beautiful stretch across the inner thighs. Placing one hand on the belly and one hand on the chest to feel the breath as it moves is so calming… I find this pose so nourishing and restorative.
How would you best friend describe you?
I texted 2 friends. They said: “Kind, compassionate, sincere, playful, humble, joyful, curious” and “Thriving, strong, pure, dreaming, vulnerable, beautiful, wise, caring, loving”.
What do you value most in others? Why?
People that are unapologetically themselves. People that are truly selfless, non-judgmental and loving. Adventurous people that spend a lot of time outside and do everything in their power to chase their dreams and feel alive. I find them so inspiring and think they make this world a better place.
