Happy World Yoga Day! Let’s come together and celebrate the community and raise our impact with a 108 Sun Salutations event.
This sacred and powerful practice is a beautiful way to come together and access the communal momentum of the group. As we breath and move together, falling into a meditative state, we peel back the layers of separation between us and drop into the ocean of breath and flow.
108 Sun Salutations can be a practice of Bhakti yoga – offering up your actions as devotion to something or someone you love, a practice of non-attachment, of finding a flow in the everyday, of dropping into a state of being that yokes you with something bigger than yourself.
This community event will be free for everybody to attend and guided by Lead Facilitator Triton Tunis-Mitchell. The physical practice is open to all levels, you take it at your own pace, modify the poses to suit your body and of course rest when needed.
We will be offering the practice as an opportunity to raise funds for charity – The Black Dog Institute – which supports research and awareness of mental health, a huge factor of our modern day yoga practice.
It’s a community event so there’ll be complimentary snacks afterwards and the space afterwards to chat and connect to your fellow yogis.
Stay afterwards for snacks and community connection.
FREE EVENT – donations accepted on the night
“The practice of yoga works at a physical, mental and emotional level & may be rewarding and challenging. We invite you to take care and participate to a level that you feel most comfortable.”
