The spine is the backbone of our yoga practice.This workshop will take you safely into the depths of back bending to ensure longevity in your practice and safety on the mat.

  • Explore the principles of back bending in Upward Facing Dog and how you can then carry these through to more advanced variations.
  • Understand how to enter into heart opening postures with awareness.
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions and workshop special postures in an open, safe environment.
  • Learn the building blocks of alignment and strength to safely practice back bending as part of Power Living’s Vinyasa flow.
  • Suitable for all levels of practitioner.This workshop is essential for anyone within their first three months of practice. It’s also great for the experienced yogi looking for a refresher or how to take their practice to the next level.

About Sol

Commencing Yoga studies in 1999, Sol practiced Ashtanga Yoga with David and Simi Roche and Hatha and Shadow Yoga with Gary Cook. He continued practicing in varied forms appreciating the powerful healing yoga provides. Arriving at Power Living in 2006, Sol found his spiritual home amongst a generous spirited, contemporary yoga community. Completing his teacher training certification with Power Living, Sol joined the Power Living crew in 2007. He is now a lead facilitator and the Training and Development Manager for Power Living Australia.
