ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Join the super knowledge Manny Cebo in this 2.5 hour workshop to uncover how the different parts of your spine work best in asana practice and for life. The Spine 101 workshop will focus on backbends, and we’ll work through the basic principles starting from upward facing dog and taking them all the way through to advanced back bending postures.
Learn your transverse process from your spinous process, your lordotic curves from your kyphotic curves and understand how to recognise and work with the natural range in your spine through big extensions.
We believe in the power of body knowledge to keep you moving powerfully and safely. In classes we rarely have the opportunity to go into depth and understand the anatomy of this conduit of energy through your body. In this workshop you’ll learn about your spine and how to keep it healthy to support a healthy life!
This workshop is suitable for all levels.
Manny began her yoga journey as a young child and has been teaching since 2015. She has completed advanced studies in progressive asana with Duncan Peak and Cassie Lee as well as advanced anatomy and biomechanics of the shoulder with Tiffany Cruikshank. Manny has a passion for intelligent and creative sequencing with an anatomical focus. She facilitates strong, vibrant and safe experiences for students to leave feeling physically powerful, more knowledgeable, secure in their bodies and empowered to evolve their practice.
