What is yoga off the mat? Where did it come from and why do we do it? We practice because it feels good in the body, it creates peace in our hearts and calm in our minds. Join Leigh for a series of monthly satsang discussions, to examine how the philosophy of yoga fits into our modern world. Exploring key foundations of yoga, we’ll discuss Abhyasa (consistent practice) and Vairagya (non-attachment) and how these philosophies add another dimension to our physical practice. Join us for these inspired chats that will deepen your love of yoga and build community connection through powerful philosophical gatherings. Treats and tea will be provided.
2008 was when Leigh’s interest in yoga shifted towards dedication. He was not only building strength and finding relief from the stresses of running his own business, but also opening up to the idea of living a purposeful life. He has completed Level 1 and 2 trainings with Baron Baptiste and received his 200hr Teacher Training Certification with Power Living Australia in 2011.
While working towards his 500hr RYT with Power Living and Tiffany Cruikshank he has completed a 80hr Yoga Therapy Training and 60hr Insight Yoga Yin & Mindfulness Teacher Training with Sarah Powers and is currently undertaking a 250 hour Traditional Yoga Studies course on yoga history and philosophy.
