Our Foundations of Yoga workshops take you through the core elements of practice: asana, pranayama and/or meditation. They are invaluable introductions for beginners and a vital returning to the basics  for advanced students. This workshop will teach you everything you need to know to set you up for a safe, strong flow. 

  • We’ll introduce you to the principles of the Power Living asana practiceincluding bandha, breath and awareness. 
  • 
Learn the tadasana alignment and how to use this through every yoga pose.
  •  All levels welcome! This workshop is essential for anyone within their first three months of practice and is a great refresher for the seasoned yogi. 
  • Refine your technique and understanding to elevate the progression of your practice.

Meet Sol Ulbrich

Sol comes from a background in dance as a performer, choreographer, teacher and director. 

 

Sol’s extensive teaching, lecturing and mentoring experience includes Contemporary Dance and Yoga techniques for companies including Adelaide College of the Arts, Australian Dance Theatre, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Dance North, Sydney Dance Company and Taipei National University of Arts.

 

Commencing Yoga studies in 1999, Sol practiced Ashtanga Yoga with David and Simi Roche and Hatha and Shadow Yoga with Gary Cook. He continued practicing in varied forms appreciating the powerful healing Yoga provides.

 

Arriving at Power Living in 2006, Sol found his spiritual home amongst a generous spirited, contemporary yoga community. Completing his teacher training certification with Power Living, Sol joined the Power Living crew in 2007. He is now a senior facilitator and the Training and Development Manager for Power Living Australia.
