Progressive Play – Sideways and New Ways – Cassie Lee – Fitzroy

Progressive play

In the progressive play workshop we will break down a number of arm balances, looking at the structure and mechanics of each, and a few different ways to access each of them.

Different arm balances require different parts of the body to be ready, open, strong. In the process of unravelling each pose, there is a grand opportunity to look inside your heart and mind.  This will be a playful and curious journey, Come prepared to have a go, let go and have fun.

A fiercely passionate and soulful teacher, Cassie’s classes are a sweaty, fun mash-up of refined alignment-based vinyasa, as well as the quieter, nourishing practices of yin yoga and meditation.

After many years living and teaching in Hong Kong, Cassie returned to her home country and set up home in Melbourne and then Byron Bay.

Cassie has been teaching for over ten years and is an Anusara–inspired teacher She has studied with many incredible teachers, primarily Anusara founder John Friend and her main teacher, Patrick Creelman, who has greatly influenced her ‘wild yet steady’ style. Other teachers include Sarah Powers, Rod Stryker, Doug Keller, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rae, Baron Baptiste and of course our home-grown original Duncan Peak.

“The practice of yoga works at a physical, mental and emotional level & may be rewarding and challenging. We invite you to take care and participate to a level that you feel most comfortable.”
