“Now, more than ever, there is a lot of talk around mental health and how we are all, particularly men, neglecting our mental health. Our Government’s mental health nationwide enquiry sparks new interest, so a repeat of this event is much needed. We want to share our tools for well-being, so we can do everything in our lives well.”
In the day and age of Netflix and Instagram stories, our well-being, especially mental, features way down on our personal list of priorities. This event is a call out to all yoga studios throughout Aotearoa to band as one, united in drawing awareness to the benefits of yoga and the positive effects it has on wellbeing in our everyday lives.
Guest speakers include Sam the Barter Barber, Alex Campbell, co-founder of Good Buzz Kombucha, Chris Desmond host of the podcast Uncomfortable is OK and Ben Cole from Nourished As.
Movember began over a decade ago with only 30 men, now it’s a worldwide movement with over five million men and women participating. By removing the stigma around discussing men’s health openly is a responsibility we all share. Power Living hopes to keep their space as a location where the conversation can continue all year round.
ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE MOVEMBER FOUNDATION – SUPPORTING MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH.
“The practice of yoga works at a physical, mental and emotional level & may be rewarding and challenging. We invite you to take care and participate to a level that you feel most comfortable.”
