Mindfulness in Relationships – Manoj Dias – Adelaide Studio

Meditating in a quiet studio and being mindful of your breath is great, but how do you be mindful and compassionate when your partner leaves their wet laundry in the washing machine again? Meditation teacher and A—SPACE co-founder, Manoj Dias, asks us to continually explore ways we can connect, understand and love deeper. There may be no tougher environment to apply mindfulness principles and techniques than in a romantic relationship. In a split second we can go from being calm and patient to heated and annoyed — from loving everything that makes “them” them to questioning how and why you got together.

In this workshop, we’ll look at the application of mindfulness within a relationship, investigate what the research shows us about what makes a “successful relationship” and lean on Buddhist psychology and wisdom to understand what it means to truly love not only the people around us, but ourselves as well.

About Manoj Dias

Manoj is an animated speaker, humble teacher and always a friend. He knows that Theravada Buddhism is too vast and wise for any single person to own. So, he’s learnt from many of the great spiritual teachers of our time including Channa Dassanayaka, Sharon Salzberg and Jack Kornfield. Once tethered to a life of self-management, rather than self- awareness, Manoj has been transformed by every breath of this practice, knowing that awareness leads to healing, from the inside, out. Through mindfulness and meditation, he’s helped hundreds of people trade mania for pause, so that they may live fearlessly in honour of a happier and more meaningful life.
