The Long Road Home – A workshop on cultivating a sustainable meditation practice.
Mindfulness meditation is on the tip of everyone’s tongues at the present moment. From big corporates to the most well-known sporting organisations to primary schools and even our military forces. But what exactly is mindfulness? Is it just meditation? Is it just about paying attention with a non-judgemental attitude? Or is there more to it?
In this interactive workshop we explore the origins of Mindfulness meditation from it’s history to it’s modern day application in an effort to shed light on the invariable challenges and hurdles we meet. Together we will learn 3 different mindfulness meditation techniques and learn how we can transform it from a tool to help us manage the demands of modern life to a vehicle of self-realisation.
About Manoj Dias
Born and raised in the Theravada Buddhist tradition, Manoj Dias is an animated speaker, humble teacher and always a friend. Once tethered to a life of self-management, instead of self-awareness, he now intimately understands what it means to be healed from the inside out. Through mindfulness and meditation, Manoj has helped thousands of people around the world trade mania for pause, so that they may live fearlessly in honour of a happier and more meaningful life. Manoj has learnt from many of the great spiritual teachers of our time, including Channa Dassanayaka and Sharon Salzberg, as well as studying at the Nalanda Institute of Contemplative Science in New York City. Always compassionate, forever a student and never one to spoil a good joke—Manoj is a warm, spirited human who connects with beings of every kind.
