About The Event
Come and explore Nada Yoga (the yoga of sound), known to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, increase positive mood and heighten social connection! The benefits of this ancient practice of the repetition of sacred sounds have often been overlooked in the West. However, its popularity is growing fast with recent scientific studies that show it can improve our health and raise mindful awareness. Whether you are new or already familiar with the profound effect of kirtan (call and response chanting from the Indian Vedic tradition), this is a beautiful opportunity to discover the transformative practice of mantra meditation as Nadav guides us in song.
Nadav is a Sydney based musician born in Israel. Having toured the globe with his indie rock and folk music, his passion lies in yoga and the potency of chanting ancient prayers. Over the past 13 years, Nadav has spent much time in India discovering and studying the mystical powers of Vedic chants and mantra, as well as delving into the study of Kabbalah and sacred prayers in his native tongue – Hebrew. His two solo albums in Sanskrit and Hebrew: ‘OM’ and ‘Lev Shalem’ invite the listener back to themselves. His most recent release – POP SUTRAS – is an exploration of mantra in mainstream pop music. Nadav is currently working on a new mantra based album specifically designed to support the yoga asana practice.
