The Foundations of Yoga workshop is the place to begin and is essential for anyone in the first couple years of vinyasa practice. In this 2.5 hour workshop with Claire you’ll break down the foundations of the physical practice. You’ll get to learn detailed techniques based on anatomical awareness and embed the fundamentals of safe practice. You’ll walk out educated and empowered on the foundations of vinyasa practice and how to embody the physical asana in a smart, strong, safe way.
In this workshop you’ll uncover a brief history of yoga and the anatomy of breath. We’ll unpack posture techniques, anatomy, moving in flow, transitions and safety modifications for a life long practice.
Claire first came to yoga to regain her strength and to rediscover herself not long after having her first child in 2009. She was inspired about the impact her practice had on her: transforming her inside and out. Claire’s enormous heart and enthusiasm to share the fundamentals of yoga have made her a favourite of her many students. She is warm and welcoming, knowledgeable and able to effectively share teachings with authenticity and honesty. She is a life long learner, offering inspiration to her students in every class.
