ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Let’s strip it back and focus solely on balancing on our hands.
In this 2.5hr workshop we’ll investigate the aspects that allow us to take flight in a multitude of different arm balances. We’ll investigate how the hands, wrists, shoulders and core all play their role in the poses. From baby crow to flying pigeon, you’ll strengthen and integrate through an intelligent flow of foundational poses to build up the awareness needed to take flight!
All levels are welcome to join in and learn. Variations will be given for beginners to seasoned arm-balancers alike.
Chris offers a strong physical practice whilst delivering a powerful message, with plenty of fun along the way! He values enthusiasm, compassion and authenticity.
Chris began his yoga journey over a decade ago. It began as a physical pursuit but as his commitment to the practice increased, he found that all aspects of his life were being transformed. With a background in elite sports, Chris has competed nationally and internationally as a high-level athlete and brings a level of discipline and strength gained there into yoga asana. However underneath the physical, his interests have now become more drawn to the spiritual and meditative aspects of the practice.
Chris has studied extensively across various styles of yoga including Barkan, Power Vinyasa, yin, and meditation, most recently completing extensive sadhanas with renowned spiritual leader Swami Govindananda. His aim as a facilitator is to inspire students to leave their mats after class and continue the practice in their daily lives.
