Trying to work out how to freestand your handstand? Whether you want to handstand like you once did as a kid or to perfect a current practice, this 6 week course is for you. Taught by Shawn McLaren, get ready to prepare, strengthen and condition the body for a happy handstand.
Expect to target core strength, mobility exercises, psoas conditioning and more to create the necessary foundations to master and refine your handstand away from the wall.
This is a physically strong and challenging course and isn’t suitable for those who are pregnant, nursing injuries or who are not in athletic physical condition.
Shawn is a passionate teacher with a love of yoga, meditation and adventure. He has a degree in Engineering & Commerce, and spent several years working in the corporate sector. However, once he discovered yoga and meditation, he found something far more powerful and made the decision to abandon the corporate world. Whilst travelling India in 2013, Shawn trained in Mysore learning the Ashtanga method as well as in Trivandrum learning Sivananda (Hatha) yoga. Shawn returned to Australia and completed further training with Power Living in 2014. He began teaching yoga in 2014, and since then has trained with Darren Rhodes and Dylan Werner et al, and continues to deepen his understanding of yoga, movement and meditation every year.
