Mandy’s long partnership with yoga began back in her university days. From her first introduction to the practice, she knew it would become an integral part of her life.
The physical expression of asana provided a much needed outlet, the dynamic postures were like a physical art form, combined with the intensity of breath awareness challenged her to investigate the inner realms of her mind/body balance and provided her with an honest perspective for life off the mat.
In the classroom, Mandy’s genuine personality and humour consistently deliver the beauty and reverence of the practice in strong, creative asana sequence. She encourages students to challenge their limiting thoughts by embracing the flow and “feel good qualities” of breath and movement rather than our traditional, ego, thought centered “I can’t do that” excuses. Her extensive training & intuitive knowledge of the body and the practice facilitates a safe and powerful, yet deeply compassionate experience for students of all levels.

What is your favourite Asana posture? Why?
(You mean besides Shavasana…?) Anything upside down…but specifically Vrschikasana B – Handstand scorpion. Because it’s the ultimate union of balance, strength and flexibility. Done with a light heart it can really shift negative energy…but mostly because it is good clean fun!

Divorce. Giving myself permission to be authentic in how I live my life and raise my children. Sometimes the hard way is the right way. I found the courage to BE me outside the box I had built myself into and low and behold I grew wings I never knew I had. In the words of Buddha …”No matter how far down the road you have come, it is never too late to turn around.”
What is your favourite colour?
Purple, of course.
