Name: Lisa Clark
Lisa, a Canadian-born, natural athlete retired from her 12 year National Team Synchronised Swimming career and fell in love with the practice. In search of a means to heal her body and mind she trained as a Fitness Instructor only to discover she desired a softer approach to physical balance.
Lisa is a Baptiste Certified Yoga Instructor, an intuitive Master Reiki practitioner and a very average surfer. She trained extensively with Baron Baptiste and went on to assist many of his programs and trainings, including the first ever Level Two Advanced Teacher Training in Kenya, July 2013. She has engrossed herself in Baron’s transformational teachings in multiple aspects of her life. An avid writer, artist, jewellery designer, wellness coach, traveller and retired Flight Attendant, Lisa has a lust for anything involving adventure, travel and water!
When not on her mat, Lisa’s true passion lies in service to others. She is an active board member for Africa Yoga Project, a project in Nairobi who’s mission is to empower, elevate and employ African youth using the transformational practice of yoga.
Lisa officially called Sydney home in June 2013. She is thrilled to be a part of the P.L.A.Y family and brings a soft, yet firm energy in her classes that inspires people to heal themselves from the inside out.
Getting to know the crew:
What is your favourite asana posture, why?
Savasana – come on…it’s everyones! It’s the whole point of the practice isn’t it? Anyone who says otherwise is lying 😉 To quote my jumper “I’m just here for the Savasana”.
What turns you on?
Crazy, uninhibited dance moves.
What sound do you love?
There is nothing more peaceful than the sound of water when I’m under the surface, especially in the ocean.
