Name: Emily Butterworth
Eight years ago Emily Butterworth officially stepped off the stage as a ballerina and two years after that she found herself stepping onto a yoga mat. Little did she know that such a small step would have such a profound impact on her life.
Emily was initially attracted to the physical asana practice and challenge of creating these amazing shapes with her body. However, she soon realized that yoga provided so much more. Emily completed her university studies in 2013 but the lure of yoga was too strong so instead of pursuing an academic career she chose to undertake her 200 teacher training with Power Living. She has since trained with Simon Park and of continues to learn so much every day from the Power Living family.
Since her yoga journey began, Emily has never looked back. For the past year and a half Power Living has been her second home and she has experienced exponential personal growth in regards to who she wants to be, where she wants to be and the type of life she wants to lead. Emily feels so grateful to be able to breathe, move, sweat and most of the time laugh a lot with everyone who comes to her classes. Who knew you could have so much fun and feel so inspired on a rectangular shaped piece of rubber!
