Name: Cassie Lee
Role: Victoria Training & Development Manager & Facilitator
Originally from Sydney’s northern beaches, Cassie returns to us after 13 years in Asia where she taught at Pure Yoga in Hong Kong (2007-2014).
Cassie was initially attracted to yoga as a way to quiet an agitated mind and find stillness and release from the frantic pace of the corporate lifestyle. While it was the sweaty hard work and fun of the physical practice that first inspired her, she quickly felt a deep resonance with the traditional teachings from which our modern yoga practice is derived.
Cassie has studied and practiced many forms of yoga including Ashtanga, Iyengar, Power Vinyasa and Yin Yoga however it was in her studies of Anusara yoga that she found a way to articulate a language for the creative life philosophy which she intrinsically felt, and in 2011 committed to the requirements for Anusara-Inspired status.
She teaches from a playful heart coupled with a passionate and curious spirit, bringing her natural light-hearted nature and dry Aussie humour.
Cassie acknowledges with deep heartfelt gratitude her teacher and friend, Patrick Creelman, as well as Rinat Perlman, Brooks Haislip, John Friend, Desiree Rumbaugh, Kelly Haas, Baron Baptiste, Shiva Rae, Anna Forest and Sarah Powers.

I am living it now: a huge shift of country and community. It reminds me to go with the flow, in the words of Lao Tzu to “not resist the natural and spontaneous changes of life”. It is challenging and completely inspiring to me.
What turns you on?
Traveling, dancing, getting lost in a great book, a new friend, a interesting conversation, finding a killer new song, the beauty of nature.
