Name: Amy Coghlan
Role: Facilitator

Amy completed her first teacher training through the Bhava Yoga Centre where she studied and practiced traditional Hatha Yoga at the ripe age of 18. Her first years of yoga as a young student were physically restorative, but delved deeply into self inquiry and self healing. Over the years, Amy’s practice and knowledge grew with the influence of Anusara, Vinyasa, Power and Hatha Yoga. You will find her classes a mixture of anatomy, heart, fun and grace.

Always pinching herself when given the opportunity to practice with the likes of Simone Park, Meghan Currie, Ana Forrest, Tiffany Cruikshank (the list goes on!), Amy feels insanely blessed just by her everyday teachers who are beyond special.


Getting to know the crew: 

What is your favourite Asana posture? Why?
TRIKONASANA! The first time I saw my teacher demonstrate Trikonasana I was in awe, the first time I did Trikonasana, I felt bliss, love and happiness all at once. The alignment in Triangle is the alignment in EVERY asana, it’s looks and feels totally kickass.

What sound do you love?
You know the sound people make by sucking air through their lips and flicking their cheek and it sounds like a tap dripping? My boyfriend is a master at it, the first six months of our relationship was spent with me learning how to do it. The day I did it I nearly cried, it’s a pretty cool sound.
