Name: Cailey Smith
Role: Trainee Facilitator
Cailey Smith was born and raised in California. Dancing brought her from Northern CA to Los Angeles, where she eventually traded the competitive life of a dancer for the blissful life of a yogini! After completing her teacher training with YogaWorks, Cailey spent several years teaching yoga and fitness classes in LA. In January 2017, Cailey uprooted, sold most of her possessions and headed for adventure in New Zealand and Australia! After three months of travel, Sydney was enticing enough to stop her in her tracks and bring the teaching bug back! Cailey stumbled into Power Living and instantly felt at home and is so excited to be a part of this family! Cailey’s classes will be fun and athletic, while geeking out on alignment so that whether you are a new or seasoned yogi, you can leave feeling challenged, but safe.

What is your favourite Asana posture? Why?
Urdhva Dhanurasana (wheel). I used to hate it but over time and practice it’s become one of my favourites! I especially love the weightlessness and view when done on a stand up paddle board.
When you’re not extending, bending and sweating, what do you like to do?
More extending, bending and sweating! You can often find me swimming, running, climbing things, training and trying to master slack-lining. Otherwise I’m probably reading, blogging or loitering in a coffee shop.
In one word, how would your best friend describe you?
My best friend is rubbish at counting….here’s what she said: “Flexible! As in your body and also as in you’re down to get margaritas on a Tuesday afternoon. Strong! As in your muscles, will and friendship! Quick….as in your wit and also you can say and do things really fast! Ooo…and determined!”
