One Step Closer to 500hrs

Register these hours on your 500HR pathway. 200HR RYT will be eligible to receive 30hrs toward their 500hr certification with Yoga Alliance and/or their 350hr certificate with Yoga Australia.

This weekend will challenge your personal practice in ways that will, in turn, allow you to intelligently guide your students through theirs. Expect to discover powerful sequencing and theming skills which have deliberate purpose and meaning and direct application.

 

About The Immersion

 

Sequence Lab –

get clear on how to confidently navigate yourself and students through a flow and build to deeper asana variations with safety and intelligence. This module will have a specific focus around weaving yoga philosophy into the asana practice.

Asana Lab –

learn to read bodies in an informed and empowered way through understanding the anatomical complexities and differences present in us all.

Potent Philosophy –

learn Duncan’s method for generating a philosophical theme and how to weave it into your class, offering students invaluable moments of introspection and inspiration. Why just teach a class that only challenges the body when you can teach in a way that will challenge the mind and intellect as well!

Our pathway offers 300 hours of specialised study, building on your 200-hour certification, to take you up to 500-hours accreditation.

Meet Duncan

Duncan is the founder of Power Living who, over the last decade, has successfully pioneered contemporary yoga styles and set the highest standard in asana facilitation, teacher trainings and yoga retreat delivery in Australia. With a background in neurospinology, he has completed extensive traditional yoga studies with Georg Feuerstein, practiced Raja Yoga for nearly 20 years and taught at international yoga festivals all over the world. An self-professed anatomy and philosophical geek, Duncan wants to inspire and be inspired by his students. DO I NEED TO REGISTER FOR THE WHOLE 500HR PATHWAY AT ONCE?

No, you can choose the courses that fit your life schedule, budget and specific interest. We present all of our advanced teacher training material in a modular format to make it easier for you to pick the best course and pathway for you!

Do I have to complete all three modules to gain certification?

All teacher trainees must complete all three courses modules outlined above. The program has been designed specifically to meet the Yoga Alliance and Yoga Australia 200-hour teacher training requirements. Missing out on a course component or not completing it in time would mean you have not completed the required number of contact hours and areas of study and will not gain full 200-hour certification.

WHY IS HAVING 500-HOUR CERTIFICATION VALUABLE?

Having 500-hour certification shows potential employers that you take your education seriously! Studying on our 500-hour pathway will provide you with opportunities to deepen your study of yoga that a well-rounded teacher needs on their CV.

CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE ADVANCED TEACHER TRAINING MODULES IF I DIDN’T COMPLETE MY 200-HOUR TRAINING WITH POWER LIVING?

Yes! Many of our 500-hour level courses require 200-hour certification as a pre-requisite but we welcome students from any yoga education training program.

CAN I PARTICIPATE IN A 500-HOUR PATHWAY PROGRAM IF I’M NOT 200-HOUR CERTIFIED?

Occasionally we open some of these programs up to all students, depending on the content of the course. If the course has a 200-hour prerequisite, it will be clearly noted on the website and all marketing material. And only 200-hour qualified teachers are able to gain hours of accreditation for completing the course.

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?

Our 500-hour pathway programs require a $1,000 deposit for any programs over $1,000. All remaining course fees must be paid six weeks before the start date of the program. We don’t offer payment plans for our 500-hour programs. All programs under $1,000 require payment in full at the time of registration.
