If this sounds like you, read on for more detail on what each module of the program entails.
Core Program: 130hrs (100 contact hours)
This module introduces you to the foundations of Power Living’s teaching methodology and includes:
To graduate from the 200hr program you will be required to complete an essay on specific course content, a practical and a written assessment.
One-week off-site retreat: 65hrs contact hours
The most powerful component of the program, this week long retreat will challenge your mind, body and spirit – facilitating the awakening required to become a truly powerful teacher.
The core of Power Living’s methodology lies in the practice of Svadyaya (self-study). This module is dedicated to uncovering deeply engrained beliefs, patterns and character traits that hold us back from living authentic and courageous lives. This work requires honesty, humility and a great commitment to your own spiritual growth.
Daily schedule includes meditation, yoga practice (Vinyasa and Yin), practice teaching, anatomy review, group sessions to uncover limiting core beliefs and inspiring community activities.
This week will leave you feeling strong, inspired and with a renewed passion for your life and practice.
20 contact hours
Module three is dedicated to the art of assisting in the classroom and ties together all elements of the training to re ne presence and skills. Focused on impacting our students through the power of touch and connection, this module trains you to have a precise awareness of students’ unique bodies and how to safely guide them into deeper experiences on their mats.
The areas of study include:
Upon successful completion of the full course, you will receive a 200hr accreditation from Yoga Alliance (USA). This will allow you to apply to be a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance (USA) and obtain Provisional Membership with the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia (YTAA). Following registration with either body you will be able to obtain insurance covering you for yoga teaching. YTAA then requires you complete an extra 150 hours training with a certified training course within three years to obtain full membership with them. This extra 150 hours training can also be completed with Power Living.
Please note, Thursday-Saturday sessions will be held at the North Perth Town Hall. Sunday sessions will take place at Power Living North Perth.

Having been active his entire life, Adam found yoga after dislocating both his shoulders at the end of a string of serious sporting injuries. Turning to Bikram yoga, Adam felt the immediate benefits of the heat on his injured riddled body and became pain free for the first time in 2008. This personal transformation empowered Adam to become a certified Bikram Yoga Instructor in 2009. With a passion for learning and helping others, Adam wanted to expand his knowledge base and embarked on additional Teacher Trainings in 2013 including Vinyasa and Yin. He now spends his days motivating and teaching students to overcome their own challenges both on and off the mat.
Eric Salazar’s past work in the financial industry led him to finally try out hot yoga as a means to de-stress from his demanding career. His curiosity, passion and dedication to the practice for years drew him in to partake a teacher training course – solidifying his intention to share yoga and the benefits it brings to practitioners on a full time basis. He travelled to Rishikesh, India to pursue his teacher training and give him an authentic yogic experience.
Eric incorporates his skills as a reiki and massage practitioner in his body work adjustments and teaching methods. He facilitates strong, experimental and fluid vinyasa classes that are playful and creative as well as hatha-inspired classes that focus on alignment, based on the body’s natural intelligence. He also enjoys guiding yin classes for subtle and quiet introspection of practitioners.
