Daily Practice

 

Each week you will practice 3 x 90 min & 2 x 60 min pre-recorded Power Living sequences. You will also practice one livestream class per week, with a complimentary livestream membership included in your tuition. Every Saturday there will be an exclusive 1.5 hr interactive Q&A session via Zoom. You will have one rest day.

Students do have an option to purchase a discounted membership to our physical studios during the 12 week course should you want to do some of your weekly practice in a physical Power Living Studio! If you choose this option, we will still ask you to complete at least 2 online classes each week.

Lectures & Theory

 

Each week you will work through approx. 4 hours of live recorded lectures, with quizzes to help consolidate your learning. These lectures will cover Anatomy & Physiology, posture breakdown, teaching skills, Intelligent Sequencing, Traditional Yoga Philosophy, Power Living Methodology, Pranayama & Functional Yoga applied practices.

Practice Teaching & Self Lead Study

 

Each week you will spend 2 hours practice teaching, virtually, with one or more of your fellow students. Which will allow you to give and receive feedback from each other. There will also be 2/4 hours (depending on the week) of self led study and assessment quizzes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What yoga experience do I need to do online teacher training?

We recommend a minimum of six months’ dedicated vinyasa yoga practice before enrolling in the course. If your background is in a style other than this, we recommend you have a minimum of one year’s dedicated personal practice before applying, plus some experience of vinyasa yoga. If you haven’t done vinyasa before, we recommend trying out some classes in one of our studios to make sure it’s the right fit for you.

Can I get certification through online education?

All teacher trainees must complete all three courses modules outlined above. The program has been designed specifically to meet the Yoga Alliance and Yoga Australia 200-hour teacher training requirements. Missing out on a course component or not completing it in time would mean you have not completed the required number of contact hours and areas of study and will not gain full 200-hour certification.

How much is the 200 hour online training?

The first release of this course is priced at $2249 but this price is only available during the “Early Bird” period – this is 10% off the list price of this course! So get in quick!

Outside the program tuition, are there any additional costs if I sign up to the online 200hr yoga teacher training?

There are 2 reference books that are required for this course; Modern Yoga by Duncan Peak (downloading the iBooks version is preferred) and Key Muscles of Yoga by Ray Long.

A recommended reference is to purchase the Muscle Pro III app.

You are welcome to purchase a discounted studio membership during your 12 weeks course for $349 if you do wish to continue practicing in a physical studio. If you choose this option, we ask that you still do 2 of the pre-recorded “Blueprint” classes via teachable each week as this is the sequence that you are learning to teach on this course.
