What to expect on your visit
- Please arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes early on your first visit to register.
- It’s always best to arrive at least 5 minutes before class to grab your spot and relax before we start.
- Bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle with you or hire ours.
- Yoga mats are free to use on your first visit & only $1 to hire any time thereafter (if you're using a studio mat please either hire or bring a towel)
- Get 10 % off if you buy a yoga mat during your introductory pass
- Leave your shoes by the front door as we practice in bare feet (no socks)
- Think of you fellow yogis and practice good personal hygiene/cleanliness and please refrain from smoking or wearing strong perfumes/deodorants prior to class
- Free security lockers are available to store your belongings, at the Manly studio please bring your own padlock to use with the lockers (for use during class times only, not for overnight storage)
- Men's and women's toilets and change rooms with showers are available for use
- Refrain from eating large meals at least 2 hours, or preferably 3hrs, before class
- Please turn your mobile off or set to silent before you enter the practice room
- Wear non-restrictive clothing and be prepared to sweat.
- It’s HOT in there! We practice in a heated room (30 degrees) so make sure you’re well hydrated before class and remember to drink plenty of water after class and replace your electrolytes & magnesium with a supplement like Endura or Ultra Muscleze.
- Plan to stay for the entire duration of a class. You may rest as often as you need throughout the class.
- Ask questions of the teacher before or after the class
- Please talk to the teacher about any pre-existing physical condition, old sports injuries or health concerns that might be relevant to practicing. Teachers will do their best to provide modifications to suit your needs.
- Our classes are open to all levels, but our Power Living Basics classes are a great place for beginners to start and learn more about the postures and flow. (Check the studio schedule for days and times.)
- If you are pregnant: mums-to-be are welcome to practice but please come to our Prenatal class before you join any of the other classes and also make sure you let your teacher know that there’s two of you practicing!
