Marcus Janssen - Marcus experienced his first taste of yoga at Power Living, attending a Power Yoga class – and was hooked! With a background in the corporate world, dealing with stress and high pressure workloads had left him feeling depleted and disconnected and battling with a weight issue – yoga allowed him to find his perspective while strengthening, shedding kilo’s and opening his body in a way he felt was so natural. From this space he and his partner Justine developed their love of teaching under the guidance of Duncan Peak – Power Living, and internationally renowned Baron Baptiste. Justine Lisson - After years in a 9-5 role Justine knew she had more to offer. Starting out as a personal trainer, she discovered Power Living in a fitness mag, she enrolled in teacher training having never experienced Power Yoga before! Her eyes were wide open after her first class, the practice challenged her on every level, physically, emotionally and mentally. From that moment on she was hooked, completing her training with Duncan Peak from Power Living, immersing herself in the practice and teaching anywhere she could .Power Living retreats, workshops, and more training with Baron Baptiste followed. Shirley Campbell -
Dr Shirley Campbell began her journey into Yoga in 1998 when she trained to be a BodyBalance instructor with LesMills. A program that is predominantly Yoga based, BodyBalance led her to train in 2007 with Duncan Peak, who trained under Baron Baptiste. She had intended to travel to the USA to train under Baron Baptiste but Duncan brought Power Vinyasa Yoga to Australia. The training experience with Power Living was life changing and she has gone on to complete Level 2 PowerYoga training with Duncan and Level 1 training in 2009 with Baron Baptiste. She is currently a senior National Trainer and Presenter in BodyBalance and on the Mentoring Program with Duncan Peak at Power Living. Shirley considers everyday an opportunity to becoming present, and finds many lessons to be learned through the study and practice of yoga provides insights for a more satisfying and peaceful life. |

Belinda Dew -
At my very first yoga class, I knew that I had discovered something amazing – during the 1 hour class something stirred inside of me that seemed so familiar, yet so foreign – it was myself. The physical and mental challenges of the practice led me to a point where I had no choice but to drop my ego and surrender, it challenged me to look within and question the self limiting beliefs that were holding me back. Over the coming months, my yoga mat became a mirror and as I moved through each posture the masks I had been wearing for years began to peel away both on a mental and physical level. Training with Duncan Peak and Baron Baptiste lead me to discover my love for teaching. With each practice, I continue to learn more, see more, feel more about myself and my body - through my teaching, I hope to share this with you. |

I attended my first yoga class in 1992 while attending university. Little did I know that it was going to change my life forever. I was hooked after my first class. I could not believe how energized, yet calm I was feeling. I did my first teacher training in Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT) in Jasper Canada, 2003. I also enjoyed learning about all sorts of yoga disciplines such as Iyengar, Ashtanga, Moksha, and Jivamukti. I attended my first Power Yoga class in May 2008 and realized that was my calling. I attended Baron Baptiste Level 1 in Feb 2009, and never looked back. My goal is to become one of Baron’s “Bad Ass” certified yoga teacher in 2011. See you on the mat. |
